Due to popular demand, we’re about to take delivery of our new Black Ripple Cups – available in the usual range of sizes from 8-16oz (small to large in takeaway Coffee terms).  We trialled a limited quantity of these items last year, albeit only in a 12oz size. They proved popular with customers looking for a plain insulated cup, but perhaps where the existing Brown Kraft cups didn’t fit in with company branding or colour preference. As a result we’re now holding this full range as a regular stock item.

For readers unfamiliar with our insulated barrier cups, they are perfect for customers looking to serve hot drinks but without the heat becoming uncomfortable when holding the cup. More traditional single-wall cups are fine for takeaway Coffee use; however they will transmit heat through the side wall when extremely hot drinks are served. There are two ways around this issue, you can either use an additional sleeve on your single-wall cup, or switch to a cup that contains integral insulation. With our Kraft and Black Ripple cups, this is featured on the outside with the distinctive ribbed design.

The finish is a glossy Black, designed primarily with franchised Coffee chains in mind. This gives customers an alternative to our plain brown Kraft cups or the generic printed “Weave” design cups. The existing range of lids used on our cups are designed to fit this range too, no new lids are required for customers considering switching.

Mulled wine is a festive beverage traditionally consumed during the winter months – derived from red wine and seasoned with spices.

Disposable Tumblers (Plastic)

Where a stemmed glass is required, the 200ml goblets always prove popular. The rigid crystal styrene is not affected by the warm liquid – completely safe for warm drinks. The distinctive stemmed design also makes this an attractive choice for indoor or formal use.

If a traditional tumbler is preferred then the 8oz airline tumbler is an attractive and convenient choice – these also have the advantage of being easily stackable where larger quantities are required. The 8oz capacity is always the most popular choice for Mulled Wine – glasses are traditionally half-filled with this beverage.

Paper Cups

Although many of our paper cups carry generic branded suited to Coffee or Tea, the plain brown Kraft cups in the smaller 8oz size are an excellent choice if you’re serving mulled wine. As these cups are fully insulated you will not feel any excess temperature through the thick outer lining.

Reusable Glasses

For customers wanted a stronger or reusable glass, we offer a hot drink cup made from extra-strong Polycarbonate, the same material used for police riot shields!  These glasses are unbreakable, but also look a lot like traditional glassware. Reusable glasses are made from thicker plastic so offer more insulation than disposable tumblers. Polycarbonate is also unaffected by hot liquids – completely food safe and approved for all beverages.

In order to offer our customers a complete biodegradable solution to disposable catering supplies, we’ve introduced the eco-friendly range of “INGEO” paper cups.

You can recycle any of our standard range of single wall or insulted cups, but the biodegradable cups are also completely compostable. Unlike our existing range of hot drink cups which feature a PE (Polyethylene) lining, these cups use a single Poly(lactic acid) or polylactide (PLA) coating instead. The raw material is derived from completely renewable corn starch, this is ethically sourced to have no impact on food prices or supply.

All of our biodegradable paper cups carry the INGEO biodegradable/compostable logo on a plain white cup. Specifically sourced oxo-biodegradable lids are also available to fit 8-16oz sizes.

Empirical studies have proven that the perceived value of a beverage is hugely influenced by the vessel in which it is served, despite the drinks being identical. Studies have shown an increase in unit price of between 200% and 300% for an identical coffee served in a paper vending cup from the same vending machine.

Plain Sleeves for Hot Drink Paper Cups

For a limited time only we’re offering our 16 Double Wall Mocha Hot Drink Paper Cups at the reduced price of £21.50 per case of 500 (plus VAT). Cafe Mocha Double Wall 16oz Paper Cups

This is a fairly common question, the answer primarily depends on the heat of beverage you intend to serve. We stock a wide range of cups from single-wall plain cups, to our newest triple wall “Ultimate” paper cups. The key difference is the insulating properties of the specific cup type.

Single wall cups are perfect for warm drinks; however piping hot coffee would be rather uncomfortable to hold without the use of a cup sleeve (available seperately). Due to their single-wall construction there is no additional layer to insulate the heat of the drink.

Double wall and Ripple cups are specifically designed for far greater heat retention, the dual layers work in a similar way to a thermos flask; trapping air and isolating the customers hand from hot beverages. In addition to this, the extra rigidity is ideally suited to “coffee on the go”.

Paper Cups

Presenting our brand new Triple-layer Ultimate Paper Coffee Cups. This new premium range is manufactured from the highest quality food grade cup stock and single poly-coated.  A unique feature of the Ultimate paper cups is the universal one-size lid system. The 8, 12 and 16oz cups all utilise the same lid, meaning that customers no longer need to stock 2 separate lid sizes. This will also help lower inventory costs.

The reassuringly strong double-base keeps drinks warmer for longer, prevents cups from sticking together and ensures leakages are not possible. Finally, the insulating ripple wrap is on the inside of the cups allowing for superior printed graphics with no loss of insulation.
